Artist Statement

Oil painting is my medium of choice, whether on large or intimate canvases. Through thick and thin layers of paint, I reflect the multiple perspectives of the same situation in life, crafting a visual language that pulses with tension and emotion. My work confronts the hidden—the stigmas of social and mental disorders that society prefers to bury. Driven by a desire to connect with those who share these struggles, I blend alla prima's immediacy with impressionist subtleties and traditional glazing.
The result is a bittersweet reflection, exposing beauty alongside brutal truths.

Painting nurtures my soul, and oil allows me to embody its darkness. My pieces often unsettle, reflecting the struggle of navigating a world that demands conformity. Each work is born from my own scars and buried emotions; each pulls what is hidden into the light. These paintings do not avoid cruelty—they face it, showing the raw reality we try to ignore.

My process begins with an exploration of my own feelings—sometimes written, sometimes simply felt. As oil meets canvas, bold brushstrokes express emotions too deep for words. Layer by layer, the painting grows, shaped by the emotions it seeks to convey. Every session is closely tied to my emotional state, guiding the creation.

Rising from the dark and resisting convention, these works reveal not what we wish to see, but what lies beneath. Through spontaneous strokes and layered perspectives, they reflect life’s complexity and its cruelty. They challenge norms, blending traditional methods with contemporary wounds. Have these struggles always been hidden? Or are we becoming more complex as we evolve?
